As I said I have not got into a slanging match with the other board admins and I never will but I can understand the strong feelings that are being shown in this thread. People feel cheated and quite rightly so and it does seem questionable that Pix would want to get into all this by choosing to post over here when there are plenty of other places to do so.

I find it questionable as well. I think it's called muddying the waters...trying to rewrite history. Bait and flame. Make things appear to be what they are not in the eyes of anyone trying to make sense of this whole thing. The timing is questionable as well. It seems the heat is on now. The tour is winding down. Perhaps it's becoming clear that some fans made a mistake getting cozy with JT ? Who says JT has closer ties to the band than some of the people he burned?
The time for minions to wake up and smell the coffee was around 9am--back when the boss was telling people in private phone calls that he gave you things you now deny receiving. It's almost midnight now and I just wonder...where was your ire then? You shot down the messenger who revealed this information to the fan community, but not the message your boss was sending. Why weren't you worried THEN about people perceiving you as a minion of JT? NOW you want to help fans at this board get a petition against Ticketmaster? Would that be the same kind of petition the band has seen in regards to the fan club fiasco?
No, I don't think you wanted any part of that one. Not when you thought being in JT's corner would get you somewhere. Please understand why some people don't want any part of your last minute crusade against the meanies taking advantage of the fans.
Thanks for bringing us the message, though. I won't shoot you for being the messenger. Just don't get all defensive about some people having a negative attitude against you. Afterall, for the mass bannings and unnecessary weilding of power you enjoyed for so long as administrator of Mick's board...it's a bit shallow of you, Pix...don't you think? For all you've done and failed to do in creating such a sad state of affairs in the FM fan community, your "woe is me" posture is naturally going to encite a negative reaction. Was that your intention?
I'm trying to be as diplomatic about this as possible so not to fan the flames unreasonably, but I have to take issue with you, Pix, when you state emphatically that you haven't lied about anything. I won't be so rude as to flat-out call you a liar. Yet, I agree with those who remember that you DID ban people and delete posts at Mick's board without explanation. I agree that this was ONLY done to fans who were not supportive of JT and the fan club, while other posters who wrote glowing messages of support for him but also wrote nasty personal attacks against non supportive fans were allowed to continue posting without being banned or deleted. I know this becasue I was on both sides of the situation.
When all hell broke loose on Mick's board the day of the first pre-sale, I posted a lot of mean-spirited messages about how people deserved to get ripped off because they didn't listen to the warnings posted about the fan club. I even posted profanity against one poor person who thought I was rubbing it in that so many people got taken. I saved those posts and reply messages for my own peace of mind becasue I did not really mean what I was saying. I wanted to see what was going to happen if I stood with JT on the day so many were up in arms against him. As I recall, I was not deleted or banned for saying a lot of nasty stuff on that day.
Curiously, the next day, I started a poll on Mick's board asking for pro and con opinions about the fan club and the first presale. When it was clear fans at Mick's board were overwhelmingly against the way the fan club and pre-sale had been handled (60 unhappy, 2 happy, 2 others not happy but willing to wait and see), I was immediately banned for saying something was wrong with the pre-sale and my poll was deleted. I haven't been back there since, but I assume no administrator ever explained why the poll was deleted. Care to explain now?
The bottom line is this:
You weren't supporting the fan community when you banned and deleted many of the 60 fans who voted NO, NOT HAPPY, in regards to the fan club fiasco conducted through Mick's board. Now you want us to get on board with you becasue the target of the backlash is Ticketmaster not JT.? Do I have that right?
Please explain why I should join you. Maybe I will.
I'll try to keep in mind that this is the Ledge, not Mick's chat. Everyone's opinions are welcome, whether you agree or not...that includes your opinions, whether I agree or not. I can live with that. Can you?
