Why the hell shouldn't they play Glastonbury? They've probably sold out their tickets for the UK dates and they have an available slot for the festival. It would help to sell THOUSANDS more of their albums and it would just make them even more popular in the UK.
There is no excuse and it is frankly stupid. Michael Eavis has said that they're not playing though so I can't see how they would now.
