Same here, though my first listen of the song may have skewed my impression of it permanently. I was flying to Las Vegas for the first time in my life, listening to Mirage on my headphones (I'd just gotten it & Tango for my 19th birthday). Anyway, Straight Back came on as I was flying over the Grand Canyon & Lake Mead. I had this totally existential experience hearing the song & seeing that scenery for the first time. It just couldn't have been a better soundtrack for the moment. 13 years later, I still can't hear the song without thinking of that imagery.
In any event, I've always felt Straight Back doesn't get it's due respect. It may be a poor man's Sister Of The Moon, but it's still a great little song.
