Does this set list surprise me in any way? No. Well, a little. I did think that they'd include 1 or 2 NEW songs that they've been recording. And, maybe even figure an arrangement of one of Stevie's 24 Karat Gold songs that she'd written for FMac. Oh, wait, what am I thinking? This is Fleetwood Mac...never mind.

And, under NO circumstances should "Oh Well" EVER, EVER, EVER be a "surprise" in a Fleetwood Mac set list. It should be standard operating procedure. Without that song, and the person who wrote it, they wouldn't be standing on stage in 2014 as Fleetwood Mac. AND, that they've not paid homage to Bob Welch via playing ONE, just ONE, effing song of his in concert since his passing is the rudest, sickest, most despicable behavior ever.

But, again, what am I thinking? This is Fleetwood Mac...never mind.

So, Fleetwood Mac is coming around again in concert, Christine's back....NEVER F-ING MIND!

(really, really sad, I kinda wanted to see Christine again...but, after how they've acted...eff it.)

I agree with allot of what you are saying.

I think those of who are addressing our displeasure with the setlist (if this is legit) have made some very valid points. On one hand I myself am stoked to see FM with all 5 members present (something I thought would never happen). However on the other I am disappointed with the setlist and even the tour for several reasons. Back in April of 2013 when I saw the IYD screening and Q/A in Toronto Stevie had talked about doing a solo tour packed with rarities next year and made no mention of doing a new CD. We all know the Christine coming back threw them all for a loop but it didn't explain why as soon as they announce her return Stevie is all "see ya later guys" and takes off to Nashville to make a record. If this was some sort of record contract obligation why did she not say something at any time last year about doing another album. Because of her leaving and the others working on the new music little time seemed to be spent on really digging deep and coming up with a setlist that was not simply a retread of last years tour (minus 5 songs). If this setlist turns out to be legit that will mean only 4 songs will be new and not have been in any setlist since 97 and that to me comes across as pure laziness and in Lindsey's case very hypocritical given how much he trashed the Eagles for resting on their achievements which is exactly what FM is doing.

What they should have done is once they knew for sure Chris was coming back they could have let Stevie do her album and a short tour this fall and then next year finish the FM album and tour behind it. The album and tour would have been a big hit I think because the way it could have been marketed as the first all new album in 27 years to feature all 5 Rumors members. As it stands now when (if ever) will Stevie get to promote 24 Karat besides maybe a record store signing or two and perhaps an appearance on one of the talk shows etc?

With respect to the setlist I know the band feels the majority of fans only want the familiar but if they stopped and looked at their vast catalog they would see they have allot of great material to chose from so that should be reflected in their setlist selection. For me this setlist cries laziness. Do they need to open with the Chain every show? Since Chris is back why not open with Hold Me or SYLM? They were hits and the audience would enjoy them. As for World Turning it has been part of the encores now for 3 tours and needs to go. Surely then can do something else (Blue Letter perhaps). I'm So Afraid and Big Love and real showstoppers but they have been done to death and he should try something else. I thought Family Man and Tango would substitute nicely for those songs. Another song I think could work as part of the acoustic set would be SMAP and That's Alright as they are not too rocking that they wouldn't work in that acoustic setting. SHN, GDW and NGBA are also songs that were not even singles so they could easily swap them out and do other non singles from other albums. Why not try BTLH again as it is a great song and Christine did sing and play on the track . It would be a great way to play something off of SYW. If they must do Rumors songs then at least dust off IDWK since it is still the one track never played live. Also simply swapping out NTF for IKINW is the safe choice rather then trying to do something else from Tusk. Even Stevie seems to be phoning it in with not 1 new song different from the last tour. I really thought Angel and 7W would be in for sure since 1) Every previous tour has featured one of her lesser known tracks from Tusk and 2) AHS had that performance (even if it was just lip synced) and it was hit back in 87 and I think that the audience would have enjoyed it.

For that matter you could also ask why on earth for nearly 40 years they have ignored Bob Welch's material from 71-74? I really think Hypnotized would go over well as it is a Classic Rock staple.
