Hi SpyNote. I used the word myopic as a polite way to say narrow-minded. I'll overlook the condescension. I'm writing exactly what I mean. I shouldn't have to defend my reading vocabulary; I like using words that are nuanced and less worn. I just love words; they are an essential part of my profession.

My perspective is as valid as yours. I was just offering a counterpoint to your point. For me, pedantic means meticulous, precise and exact, so I take that as a compliment. Thanks! One more thing: there is a second 'l" in ophthalmologist. I make mistakes too. Let's be friends!
