Christine is terrific... no doubt about it.
One of the things I've always said was best about Fleetwood Mac... most especially the 'Rumours' lineup... is that there's something for everyone.
It may not always be your cup of tea, but variety is the spice of life!
Each writer was an absolutely integral ingredient, and certainly they can make incredible music in other combinations as well, but together they were magic.
It's just unfortunate when fans who largely prefer one writer or another, diss the others. They're all talented and they were all important to Fleetwood Mac.
We're not required to like them all, or love everything they've done, but we also don't have to play "my favorite member is better than yours."
As far as memorable songs and radio play is concerned, I'm an infamous station flipper, and I
still hear You Make Loving Fun, Over My Head, Say You Love Me, Don't Stop, Hold Me, Little Lies, and Everywhere... right alongside Dreams, Landslide, Gold Dust Woman, Rhiannon, Silver Springs, The Chain, and Go Your Own Way.
I'm not talking just once in a while... I hear these songs quite frequently.
Every now and again, I also hear "Love Will Show Us How" or "Got A Hold On Me"... which is always a pleasant surprise.
I miss Christine a lot, and I'm looking forward to her upcoming solo album... but I'm crazy over the current lineup of Fleetwood Mac, too.
