Hi Chris,

It's nice to hear that your friend has an open mind about listening to your favorite group. I understand what it's like to be a fan of music which is not so popular amung your age group. I think we're both 15 right?

Anyways...my four favorite bands are ABBA, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, and Our Lady Peace. At least OLP is somewhat respected if not loved by most of my friends.

I've learned that if they're not into your music, you're probably not going to convince them.

I think you should sit them down, make them listen to Rumours strait through, then listen to Silver Springs(see if they don't cry...I almost did the first time I heard it) and Sara. If they don't like it by then, they're nuts! LOL!

If they're at that point a little interested, explain a bit of the FM history. Maybe show them the lyric interpretations page. Understanding what some of the songs were about really made me like them more (especially Gold Dust Woman...TOTALLY didn't get it or like it till I read the interpretation) http://www.fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/...ons/index.html

Good luck!
