In January 1998, Stevie herself hand delivered several tapes of demos and outtakes to the Atlantic Records offices in Manhattan. These songs were to be considered for inclusion to Stevie's upcoming box set, Enchanted. An employee of Atlantic made copies and shared them. (This is the list of 'Enchanted' outtakes

Edge of Seventeen (Unreleased Extended Version)
How Still My Love (Jazz Takes)
Gypsy Beggars
The Nightmare (Piano Demos)
It's Late (Alternate)
All Over You
Twisted (Demo Without Overdubs)

If Stevie herself handed "Gypsy Beggars" in to Atlantic Records, chances are she likes that song. If she likes that song, chances are she will record it for her new record. Gypsy Beggars is on YouTube...

This can also connect to the "Wild Heart Gypsy Soul" post that Dave posted a few weeks ago.

Gypsy Beggars Lyrics Gypsy Soul parts are in bold
He was my friend
Long ago, before you
Gypsy soul
And the beggar’s dust
What’s wrong with him
I wanna talk to you
Say he’s coming here

I wanna talk to you
I wanna talk to you

Why this silk dress
You’ll never love him
Have them then your newfound friends
Stare through the window
Your hands
Don’t do this
What about
I wish he hadn’t come back
Different as he is

She convinces herself selfish
Why did you stay so long in that house
You gypsy beggar
He was my friend before your gypsy soul
And the beggar’s dust
What’s wrong with him

That challenge
Keeps up together
It is a challenge for love to get older
Time was
As the sea
As the sea
The sea draws you closer
The time had come….and gone….

She convinces herself selfish
Well, why did you stay so long in that house
Well, you’re a gypsy beggar
He was my friend long ago
Before you
Somewhere in his gypsy soul
