To this day Danny is the most under appreciated/underrated FM member in the band's colourful history. He had so much super-star potential and imagine the Rumours band as a six-piece. What he could have contributed to the band would have been phenomenal (not to mention the drama
If he and Buckingham could have kept their egos and indulgences in check, they would have been close to the Kirwan-Green pairing and up there in the same breath as any of the great guitar duos in rock.
Many tunes on his post-Mac solo albums are outstanding and have mid-70's blockbuster written all over them, easily as good as anything from the genre, but sadly it wasn't to be. I read somewhere that the Kirwan and Green story is a big gap in music history, and a story that needs to be fully told to the masses.
