I don't particularly think she soars on that song, but when I first heard these on the radio, I do distinctly remember loving both
Magnet and Steel and
Whenever I Call You Friend precisely because of the female vocal and I didn't even know it was Stevie back then. I may have heard the name "Stevie Nicks" but I didn't associate it with a particular person. And I didn't even know it was the same person on
Magnet and Steel and
Friend. I just knew that I couldn't wait to get to the woman's part when I listened to those songs. Michele
