And it's not quoted. To me, without a quote, it could be an interpretation of what they said by the writer. I would have to see a direct quote to believe it because judging by their comments at the beginning of their recording process they didn't seem to know what Stevie what plans were or when she would join them. There's no reason they couldn't have said Stevie has other plans (and nothing more)...they didn't say that. They have not been quoted as saying this was a prior engagement or something that was planned long ago. Not saying it wasn't, but we have those quotes from Lindsey and Christine, which are not conclusive but do make a strong implication, so for me personally I would need a direct quote saying otherwise.
