When the remixes for Planets came out, the only ones that were sent to clubs were the Tracy Young mixes on vinyl. The Illicit mixes may be played at club, but they weren't right off the bat. And I'd change that statement to "they know a good REMIX when they hear it." Most clubs don't play mixes because of the artist, they go by what remixer is hot. If they hear that a certain mixer is coming out with a new remix or new track, they automatically keep that in mind and make it a point to listen to it or play it once. The record companies are the ones who send out the remixes to clubs and it isn't based on who performs the song, it's based on who the remixer is. And I think the Illicit mixes suck badly.
