maybe this album is a way to get whatever SN still owed to WB out of the way in the fastest way possible. even if she did start on this route with Without You as her contribution to FM. plus the whole box sets of old demos and unreleased songs is something many older artists do, in between other projects, and something their fans can cherish and anybody wishing to learn about their artistic process can study.  |

Every single Stevie Q & A event I went to the past couple years someone brought up doing/finishing the demos. She even mentioned in the recent BMI interviews that she was doing it because fans had brought it up. So there's that too. I suppose that it also fits in nicely with the time frame she currently has along with her record contract commitments. It's a win-win.
The only thing that bugs me is that it will be released in the middle of a Mac tour, which will give her little time to promote it.
But as someone said on another thread, maybe just the exposure alone of the tour will help.
