Mick must have been talking about their Dallas show from 1975. I see it was held at the Moody Coliseum, which is on the campus of Southern Methodist University. SMU isn't really that close to downtown Dallas, or it's airports. So it would make sense that the Eagles would take a chopper out there.
I see Fleetwood Mac also played at the City Coliseum in Austin in 1975 (and in 1974!). I had completely forgotten about that place- it's been gone for so long now. It was an old converted aircraft hangar from WWII. The last place Fleetwood Mac performed in Austin was the Frank Erwin Center (in 1982 & 1987), which will be gone in a couple of years, too. The venues the Mac played during it's heyday are rapidly disappearing around the country it seems. I've seen websites for other artists like Elvis & Bob Dylan that document pictures of every venue those artists played. Kind of neat, definitely gives you more of a feel of those eras for sure.
