Fleetwood Mac is looking at this whole thing too narrowly. They should consider skipping the whole studio scene entirely—they don't seem to be all on board with studio work—and instead write and perform their new songs
on the road. The performances can be recorded and released to iTunes or Google Play. If they do that, they combine the best of both worlds: They continue to rake it in doing the classic hits
and they create some new music (so they don't all go nuts playing "Rhiannon" three hundred times a year).
Think "Fireflies," "Farmer's Daughter," "Bleed to Love Her," "My Little Demon," "Sweet Girl"—recorded live, polished, released!
