There will NOT be a good FM album without the influence from all, as a unity.

It doesn't seem to be Lindsey's production work on Stevie's songs that she had a problem with, Gerald. She told Performing Songwriter in 2003, that her songs are "100 percent more terrific after Lindsey works on them." Now, she could have been speaking in generalities, but I don't think she would have paid him that compliment in the same way right after they'd finished 'Say You Will,' if she were seriously unhappy with the production work on the songs they'd just completed.
The things she seemed most angry about -- the mixing and sequencing, as we've already mentioned -- were things she was, in some shape or form, around for. Michele has argued (and I see her point) that Stevie wasn't "around" for the sequencing, because she wasn't in the states. But I still disagree that not being physically present in L.A., negated or limited Stevie's opinion on the matter. Half of the songs were still hers and she should have had a say.
At any rate, there's another quote of Stevie's from Performing Songwriter, that I think is perfect for this topic:
"We're both really selfish, and it's like, 'No, I want it to be this way!' It's like you have two serious bulls in a pen, and we argue all the time. There's continual trauma. But does it make for incredible works of music? Yeah, it does."
As I've said, I think she just doesn't want to fight and argue anymore.
