I disagree with you on the lyrics to Dreams tho.. I think they *do* talk about her leaving him.

When the rain washes you clean you'll know"
To me her interpretation of it being hopeful and all that has been spin. To me hearing those lines it's always come across as .. oh, so you think women are interchangeable? That you can find another? Well, here's your chance, coz when the rain washes you clean (after I'm gone) you'll know that that is NOT how it goes.
But again, as this whole thread has pointed out, be it lyrics or interview quotes or whatever, you hear them/ filter them through your own filter and they mean one thing to you as the listener/reader and might mean something totally different to someone else.
That's the beauty of it.
