Que? Peter Green formed Fleetwood Mac and hired Mick as the drummer. Without the reputation and genius of Green, Mick would be a pub band player now. Mick did become the de facto leader after Peter left, building on the first flush of success (they were a big hit band in Europe and getting a foothold in the US), but that's another thing.
