But I do think as they headed into the Dance that he got to thinking about Stevie romantically again after that, so we got those pre-concert videos where he is kissing her multiple times and being like a school boy. I think there was a resurgence of interest.

When he's candid, he'll admit the real reason he left was because he needed separation from her- the personal addictions/ habits and creative differences played a more minor part.
