Lindsey said in the past that his kids hear about FM through the parents of their friends and hearing about him from others has given them a sense of history or pride. He mentioned that even before
Glee did a Rumours show and Stevie appeared on
American Idol and I know that Glee is something LeeLee once liked.
Presumably, the parents wouldn't be telling the kids about the band's history of drug use and other tawdry tales, but they have access to that information if they care to do a search of the band's history at all.
