Some of you might recall these shows I'm talking about.
Before the internet I end up driving up to Saratoga Springs NY for a Stevie concert and found out the show was canceled about 4 hours earlier do to a bad wind storm ripped through the area of the amphitheater.
I was pissed when I got there but cooled off about hour later when I was chatting to a couple of Stevie fans and left about 90 minutes later.
I could of tuned in the radio stations and listen to see if they canceled the show but I was listening to Stevie cassettes on the way up and the weather was beautiful and calm on the way up there.
After that I started calling the venues and checking what going on the the evenings show.
I wasn't worried about the gas since its was like about a $1.20 a gallon.
I end up enjoying the ride up and back home.
I feel sorry for those that fly and drive 3000 miles to these shows and find out the shows got canceled.
The other Stevie show which got canceled do to the venue screwing the artists out of their take. That was Lake Compounce .
Luckily my mother caught the local 12 noon news about Stevie's concert cancellation along with other artists which supposed to perform there in the next few weeks as she called me at work and let me know.I was pissed and end up staying at work the rest of the day since I was gonna leave at noon.
