Ohhh nooo, Nancy! I actually think "The Nightmare" is Stevie's most wildly inventive & unfettered & most uncanny song of all time! It's primordial. I think Stevie's entire essence -- all that windswept Bronte stuff -- is wrapped up inside this one song. I find it all absolutely wrenching, like being careened across the moors in "Wuthering Heights" at rocket speed. Lyrically, it seems to contain hints of the abyss, & Stevie's vocals just kick butt. I love love love "The Nightmare."
