Like Dex, I'm a sucker for these kind of releases too. They certainly appeal to the casual listener, but also to Fleetwood Mac completists who must have every single release, no matter how duplicated the material is.

But this compilation is actually a lot better than most. Obviously we've read a lot of the stuff that
Rolling Stone contributing writer David Wild has written about Fleetwood Mac, but his latest liner notes are updated and are especially fun to read in the track-by-track commentary. He basically summarizes the most interesting things about each song and adds some recent quotes from the band. For example, it's nice to read that Lindsey's favorite Stevie song is "Gypsy" and a song he's proud to have produced.
Wild also puts in chart information for the songs that were singles, which most fans already know, but, if you're a chart enthusiast, reading these statistics about your favorite band
never gets old.
