Yes, not a mild article. It is very bias. I love the Eagles; I also love Fleetwood Mac - but personally? The Mac will beat them every time for me, not necessarily because the music is better. But just because there is a larger back-catalogue of Fleetwood Mac tracks than there is for the Eagles. Eagles have produced one double album this century called Long Road out of Eden, and a live album in 1994 or thereabouts called Hell Freezes Over (playing on the fact that they had a reunion after 25 years apart musically/professionally).
So why would I go for a boring blokey band like the Eagles when their songs are so ... few and far between...albeit most Eagles songs I really like...
I like Fleetwood Mac because there are women in the band, and I like that band chemistry/dynamic. Also a contralto singer and an alto singer - Stevie and Christine - sound very good together when harmonising. Stevie's voice is very deep for a female. Christine's is moderately high, not soprano but still very beautiful. My own voice sounds like a boring baritone to me
