Maybe Rolling Stone could have done a cover story about how it's possible to be a tired old band recycling the same tired old songs on the road for the umpteenth time, and still packing them in.
But it didn't. Instead, Rolling Stone had a provocative cover that very faithfully reflected the story, which just happened to be one of the best pieces of journalism I've seen in a long time. Good journalism is hard to come by these days.
