Many fans were surprised that SN stopped performing the title song 'In Your Dreams' quite suddenly and permanently. Some hoped it would go to radio as a 'single' as it did get some light airplay, initially. Reason I was told last night: SN's management were served with legal documents that the music of the song was far too close to the music of a friend of hers- I don't hear it completely, but it was said that the melody and structure of the song in several parts were found to be *far* too close to the tune of 'You Wreck Me'.

So, the immediate decision was made to pull the song from the live shows and not pursue having the song sent as a promo to radio, in the interest of her friendship with that performer. This also quieted the displeasure of the legal team of the publishing company that represent the other performer, who knew nothing of the suit, initially. So, I guess there's still a friendship. But, maybe that's why the song disappeared, even after it had light airplay and had been played at a handful of shows.

I would have to scroll pages to find an 'IYD' topic here now, and nobody would see it, but maybe this answers some questions as to why the song was dropped, with no dissention as the intention. TP has before been a 'special inspiration' to SN and she had sung 'You Wreck Me' on solo tours, so maybe it inspired the song a tad. No crime. Nice songs, both of them. Yet, it is in the documentary. Yet, she also talks over the live performance. Loophole or camouflage of the similarities?





Who knows if there is any truth to this?
