For more recent Linda albums you should check out We Ran (1998) and her beautiful collaborative album with Emmylou Harris - Western Wall: The Tucson Sessions.
I love the first Lone Justic album (the second is only ok) and yes, Maria McKee is a great, great album - especially This Property Is Condemned and Drinkin' In My Sunday Dress.

I like Linda's classic period best as well, and
Prisoner in Disguise is my absolute favorite too. I had picked it up at an antique shop in a little town near my family's cottage, and the first time I listened to it was on a record player and a portable stereo set up on on a hill overlooking the lake at night, so that memory is a big reason why I don't hesitate to say
Prisoner is my favorite.
Heart Like a Wheel,
Hasten Down the Wind, and
Simple Dreams are all really close, though. I haven't really made an honest attempt at her later stuff, but I will try
We Ran! I've never really been a fan of Emmylou, but I'll give
Western Wall a listen as well (or is it hard to find?).
I agree, I could take or leave
Shelter, but the first Lone Justice album is outstanding. It's funny you prefer "This Property" and "Drinkin,'" because those are two I often skip

. But it is a wonderful album, for sure! My favorites are "Am I the Only One" and "Nobody's Child." I'd also highly recommend
Maria McKee: Live at the BBC.
