Australian promoter Andrew McManus claims to be $50,000 out of pocket after Fleetwood Mac cancelled his Australian and New Zealand dates and went Live Nation instead.

McManus had placed a $50,000 deposit to secure the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin before Fleetwood Mac switched promoters, according to the Otago Daily Times.

When Live Nation picked up the tour they scheduled the Fleetwood Mac show for Auckland on December 6 leaving Dunedin off the schedule. It is unknown if McManus had a signed contract for the Fleetwood Mac tour at the time he booked the Dunedin venue. Now Forsyth Barr Stadium management are refusing to give him a refund leaving the Melbourne based promoter $50,000 down the drain.

Fleetwood Mac’s Australian tour will begin in Sydney on November 10. They will also perform in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. The tour will end in Auckland, New Zealand one month later on December 6.
