For SYW the band didn't participate in the rumors and in his Q & A John seemed almost apologetic that they circulated at all, saying that there was never a plan for Christine to appear when they were in England.
This time around, Mick does seem to be trying to fan the talk himself. Of course, It's more than talk, since Christine has indicated her willingness too.
