I have only heard snippets of the songs, and so far... meh.
I am hoping that the full songs will worm their way into my brain over time. I am surprised by the amount of keyboards, which are a bit generic-sounding IMHO; not up to the distinctive calibre of Christine.
Also, I just find the whole concept of this EP laughable. The artwork is obviously an afterthought (although I agree that it is better than the rather pedestrian promo photos of the band). The title "Extended Play" is so
generic; it reminds me of when Public Image Limited released an album called
Album. And the real kicker is the hastily concocted "LMJS Productions." I would bet my kingdom that there was a political struggle over how their initials would be sequenced. And it leads one to wonder whether they intentionally formed some kind of LLC, or whether this was done only because no major label would touch the EP. Aside from a terse press release, I don't think LMJS Productions has the wherewithall to do much in the way of promotion; this EP is pretty much DoA.
