I find that unlike Dreams or Rhiannon, this song has remained fresh precisely because it does change every time, both with the Mac and in her solo shows. I know you think that the ending is a snooze fest, but I think the dramatic finale is the place where the variations matter most and I find them quite effective. Discovering what her adlibs will be this time around and exploring the new doors they open in meaning, the change in context and desire, is one of the highlights of the concert for me.
