I know she has some of that nuance in her still, because every once in a while it comes out (she sounds lovely on “Say Goodbye,” for example). I’m in no way suggesting that Stevie shred her voice or go crazy like she did in the ’80s, but I do wish she would explore the different sides of her voice that remain strong.

And, of course, this is just my silly opinion. I'm not a vocal coach; I just go by what I hear......

Very valid points and I agree with you overall. Secret Love live is a good example..On the album her voice has a sweet sound to it, but live she sounded robotic...
