I like it...it's reworked a lot how I thought it would be. More subtle, but still spooky and I really liked Stevie's "aged" voice - it fits very well with the tone of the song. It does suffer from the Rhiannon syndrome...it isn't Stevie's voice that makes the song anti-climatic vs. the old days - it's the arrangement and mostly the lack of Lindsey's blistering guitar presence. It could be improved...it was weird without the guitar solos and did feel rushed at the end. I guess this goes along with it's place in the set...first half of the show vs. the show stopping finale of the encore (yes I know Songbird closed the shows afterward) that it was in 1982.

As for Lindsey not singing the one line, this isn't new - they've done it like this before. I can't remember if it's that '78 Baton Rouge version or one of the '79 versions, but Lindsey didn't always sing that "some call her sisters of the moon..."

I can see this hopefully getting even better the more comfortable the band gets with it. I do not see Stevie dropping it. Stevie's "game time decision" song will likely continue to be Silver Springs.

Edit: I had just turned 2 the last time this was played - I am pumped that they resurrected it! 'Bout time!!
