He practically IS wearing jeggings. When we saw him in Baltimore last summer my son's comment was "I didn't expect he'd be wearing tights". He was wearing those really tight jeans thar have a lot of elastic in them on stage (and just regular jeans fot m&gs afterwards). Regular jeans looked so much better than those stupid elasticized ones.
But I don't think he's trying to be trendy - he was wearing practically the same skinny jeans since at least 1992. The plus of that is that he doesnt look dated when you watch his 1993 shows unlike most of the people who were with on the stage at the time (well if you don't count the big non-fitted jacket
