Keith said in sound city movie that Mick called him about the guitarist and he said "you may have a problem there, he wouldn't join alone" or something like that... this was interspersed scene with Lindsey saying the same story we always heard. either story is probably simplified for the sake of telling it... for all we know Mick called Keith and the Keith called Lindsey, than Lindsey said not without Stevie, than Keith called Mick back and told him about the problem, than Mick called Lindsey, and on and on - see what i'm saying? told in circles like this story doesn't sound nearly as good. so each of them just says "Mick called me"
