I'm not sure what the problem was really. She has had a bit of success with her solo work as others have said, with 'Rooms On Fire' doing well. Lindsey, if anyone though, is surely less well known then her and yet his songs with the band did better. Even his solo single 'Trouble' charted higher than all of Stevie's Mac songs except Dreams.
I'm surprised that Gypsy and Sara weren't bigger hits as they're great songs.
Their biggest success in terms of singles charting was the Tango era and I don't think Stevie was at her best on that album - but I was still surprised that Seven Wonders wasn't a hit as it got tons of airplay
I think the band are seen more as an 'album' band here anyway. I doubt Stevie will lose any sleep over it
