Lots of bands involved in festivals over the years refused promoters & concert management permission to film their sets (like Tom Petty & the No Nukes festival), so it's possible that Fleetwood Mac specifically denied permission to film a festival that was clearly being filmed from top to bottom and side to side. Maybe the band already planned to release a home video and book a deal with HBO for the Los Angeles gigs. But Maureen's only connection to the band and its inner workings was through Frank Harding, was it not? And Frank didn't become involved with Mick until the early 1990s, right?

But then again, Stevie mentions in the Crystal Visions DVD commentary that she didn't think FM ever filmed a complete show from start to finish. She actually says that she remembers bits and pieces of different shows being filmed, but never an an entire FM show. She evens mentions specifically "Sisters Of the Moon" as being a song that was filmed at a show, but not the entire show.

Yes, she was typically clueless about stuff like that. But the rest of the band was equally clueless. Ask one of them today about the fully filmed 1979 Capitol Center concert. You'll get no response except puzzlement.
