The most obvious difference is that BN would play BN songs, not Fleetwood Mac songs. BN would probably play smaller venues than FM. And I'd venture to say that for Stevie and Lindsey, going on stage and being able to play a set without Mick and John, without having it labeled Fleetwood Mac and all that name carries, would probably be pretty sentimental for them.
This argument is like saying that Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks solo shows and albums are just Fleetwood Mac with worse backing musicians. No. They're not the same.
