SteveMac is correct, the first were gate-folds.
I didn't know this when I finally tracked down
my first Buckingham Nicks album. A friend found
it for me and I happily paid too much for it. The
condition it was in was just horrible. But it was
a treasure to me. Later on I found the original
gate-fold version in mint condition.
Now my question is...
Since the album didn't sell well at all, did the
second pressing (non gate-fold) come out after
the success of the FM
White Album or even
Rumours?
Even so, many still wound up in the cut-out bins.
