I do think you are right about some people not know about their opportunities. But isn't it up to them to find out?

My point is that I know for a fact a lot of immigrants don't realize that college is an option for them. Not when they first get here anyway. That goes for a lot of inner-city youths, and I'm sure some rural poor as well.
I should have said "young women." They are all about 20 or so. And damn, do they make the best coffee in Penn Station.
