This idea of him backing away is just typical Fleetwood Mac fan paranoia and reading into every word and symantic change from interview to interview.
Let them finish this tour. Probably wind up at the end of the year. Take 6 months to a year off and then see where they are. You are looking at 12-18 months from now before they would even possibly begin another project.

This is the quote I was thinking of, and it was from the fan club, not an article per se:
At this point I wouldn’t want to say for sure that Fleetwood Mac is going to do another album. I am hoping that they do, in which case that material would probably or some of it at least, would probably go on a subsequent Fleetwood Mac album. If that doesn’t happen then absolutely it would go on a solo album of mine, it’s just too early to tell how all this is going to work out, you know; so in any case there is a lot of material there and I am actually starting to write some new material as well, so we are looking ahead to the future one way or another.
And perhaps I misspoke--er--typed...he seems just as gung ho as ever. It's the CERTAINTY of another FM album that I think he's backing away from.
Paranoia??? Not this ledgie...I don't really care if the next album is FM or Lindsey solo. So either way I'm gonna get my wish!
