Let's face the fact that most FM fans are fans because of Stevie. It's reflected in album sales and the amount of press she gets compared to everyone else. When someone gets wind that Stevie was spotted at a restaurant, alarms go off. Someone sees "that guitar player from that band," they're surprised but not much else. Lindsey's albums were always flops and Chris' didn't go platinum. It isn't necessarcily how I feel, but there is no denying that the majority feels that way.
When I speak of the majority, I mean casual listeners. Not people on this board (which represent a fraction of a fraction of the Mac fans) or the die-hard fans that are all dressed in Stevie regalia at the concerts who love EVERYTHING about the band.
Do you honestly think that the general public viewed the reunion as a chance to finally see Lindsey or Chris? I think not.

Let's face it that this is thick, slimy, bubbly, BS. You've got it backwards. MOST Fleetwood Mac fans are "FLEETWOOD MAC" fans first & foremost. The general public, I would think, viewed the reunion as a chance to see FLEETWOOD MAC with the 5 people who made up the Fleetwood Mac they knew....only "chiffon-heads" would go see Fleetwood Mac ONLY because Stevie was there. And, if there ever was a "fraction of a fraction" of a fan base, it is "chiffon-head" within Fleetwood Mac's fan base.
