Q: Anyone take a guess WHY bands/musicians don't like photographs taken from close range?
A: The flashbulbs cause momentarily blindness
...risking, from the minor thing of the embarassment of hitting a wrong note, to the major hazard of them not being able to see the edge of the stage and potentially falling off the stage and causing bodily injury.
Of course, there's the copyright infringement of "using their image & likeness", but that's usually a minor point.
