I read the entire article and I actually sympathize with Mick. I totally get where he's coming from. If Stevie had committed and said she was going to do the tour, I get being totally let down by her dropping out to continue to tour for In Your Dreams.

Whilst I love the album itself, why continue touring with Rod when I'm pretty sure the only songs she'll probably keep in the set are Moonlight and Secret Love. Surely that's not her way of touring for a new album? Sure, I've seen the few dates where she'll be solo, but still. If it's really that much of a bother to her, pull what other bands do and throw your solo stuff into the bands setlist. Hell, they already do Stand Back, don't they? Mick played on Secret Love, Lindsey could sure as hell play the guitar bits obviously, throw that track in and give Lindsey his spot for Go Insane and some other track of his for crying out loud.

There are so many ways they could get around this. And it sucks that Mick feels that way. Sure, Stevie is in her 60s and she has the right to do whatever she wants whenever she wants, but if I had the type of life Mick did, I'm sure he loves being out on the road and I'd be a little upset too if things were going into motion and then just stopped all of a sudden due to changes of heart. Such is life, and again I get it, but it still doesn't make the situation feel any better.

Unlike Mick, I think Fleetwood Mac will tour again, because they all seem to always go back to the Mac Club after a while and most of Stevie's solo plans never pan out anyway (Hey, how'd ya'll all like that Rhiannon movie, eh?) so I'm not going to go ahead and weep about the soon-to-exist "R.I.P. Fleetwood Mac" just yet.

Also, on an un-related note, just to play Devils Advocate here, besides "touring" for In Your Dreams with Rod this year (with, I'm sure, hardly any songs from it), how is she any better if her reasoning for not touring is there being no new material and just oldies? Now I know this hasnt been said by any party involved and just thrown around here, but surely she has no room to talk? Within' the past 20 years, the Mac have only done two Greatest Hits tours (The Dance and Unleashed) while Stevie has toured 6 times that I count with no new material and just oldies (Enchanted Tour, her Vegas set, tour with Don Henley, the Gold Dust tour, the Crystal Visions tour, and her summer 2008 tour).

If Stevie did say she'd do the tour, then I think both parties are at fault. I can understand Mick being upset, but he shouldn't be taking it out on Stevie as she has the right to do whatever she pleases and if Stevie did agree to a tour, then she shouldn't have backed out after agreeing to it in the first place as the rest of the band was counting on her commitment. Here's hoping Fleetwood Mac can sort their **** out. I still want a new album for my collection before they're all being pushing around in wheelchairs.

Edit: Or Hell, tour without Stevie and re-name the band Fleetwood Buckingham Mac. LOL I kid.
