This collection could have been a great addition to their other live albums, 1980's Live and and 1997's The Dance. yet they gave us mostly a monotonous rehash. To keep things fresh I wish they would have showcased mostly songs that were not on either live album. What is the incentive for them to be so repetitive with such a small group of songs? Is it a financial reason? Do they get a higher return on royalties with more higher profile songs?
The standard reasoning that casual fans are only looking to hear the songs they know most doesn't hold water. This CD/DVD package was not being bought by casual fans looking for only for the hits (their several greatest hits compilations serve that purpose well.) This was a release bought by die-hard fans. So who and why did they decide on this poor selection of songs? It could have been so much better:

I totally agree, especially with your list of songs that could have been included. This could have been so much better. I do love the "Stand Back" version they included though. That percussion solo at the beginning is outstanding. "Eyes Of The World" is a great one too and "Come" live really rocks. The rest of the tracks though are just rehashes that we've heard a million times. A missed opportunity to 'throw a bone' to the die-hard fans to be sure.
