Dhani Harrison, the son of late Beatle George Harrison and his wife Olivia, is set to marry Sólveig Káradóttir, the daughter of Icelandic neurologist Kári Stefánsson, chief and co-founder of deCODE Genetics, in June.

Ringo Starr: 'I'll retire when I can't hold a drum stick'
Ringo Starr has insisted that he has no plans to retire.The Beatles drummer celebrated his 71st birthday last July, but recently told USA Today that he doesn't need to stop performing in order to enjoy his golden years."As long as I can hold the sticks, I can play… I want to put a jam band together, where we do a two-minute song and a 40-minute fade like the Grateful Dead," Starr quipped.He went on to say: "I joke that I'll end up in a blues band and play very, very slow."

Magical Mystery Tour: Quilted Beatles homage comes to Visions Museum
Over the years, The Beatles have been honored by film, stage, and musical tributes, but probably never before in the medium of*quilts. On Feb. 3, the small but mighty Visions Art Museum will present 43 pieces in homage to the Fab Four at an artists’ reception, part of the monthly First Friday event at Liberty Station.*“Magical Mystery Tour” is the theme of this year’s “challenge competition” from Canyon Quilters, a University City group that includes many of Visions’ members. The challenge: To come up with a 14-inch-square quilt inspired by the Beatles.
