Well, I became a fan after
Tusk was already released, so
Mirage was the first album I got to anticipate, where you are rabid and checking Billboard and Rolling Stone, just for a mention of your new favorite band. And I was a student, dewy eyed. Squealed, sighed, swooned and sobbed easily, so my reaction to Mirage probably is not what it would have been if I first heard the album today. Went deeper, stayed longer than it would have at another time in my life.
