'In The Memory Of John Lennon & Yoko Ono' - A Beautiful Typographic-Illustration Series
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today.."
Yes - I am talking about the album 'Imagine' by John Lennon. It's futile collecting facts that shows how hit and famous it was. Even today, it sounds divine. The above lyrics is from the opening track 'Imagine'; written and composed by John Lennon himself. And now look at your left, a beautiful typographical illustration depicting the title of this heavenly song by very talented Karina Eibatova.Karina Eibatova, aka Eika is a Russian artist and runs Dopludo Collective.*Karina specializes in drawing, illustrations, video, calligraphic and typographic art. It's commendable how she has combined John Lennon's Imagine and his love with his soulmate and wife Yoko Ono. They both shared a great love and have a beautiful love story. The alphabet 'M' in the illustration depicts John and Yoko.

Oh you beautiful dolls, part 2: Paul McCartney and band immortalized in Russia
Fans in Russia gave Paul McCartney a surprise gift a few minutes before the show he played in Moscow on Wednesday. Beatles.ru, a community of Russian-speaking fans with more than 20,000 members in Russia and around the world, presented the former Beatle and his band with a traditional Russian matryoshka doll. Commonly referred to in the West as nesting dolls, this is a set of dolls of increasing sizes placed one inside the other. The gift was a similar one as was given to Ringo Starr and his band in June.
