I just watched the X Factor performance for the first time and I have to say that after all these years of being a Stevie fan and witnessing all of her ups and downs I personally am happy with her performance! She seemed happy and smiled often and she never sang in a monotone as has happened in the past. I don't know where the drug references come from but I assume it's because Stevie talks about her history with drugs in most of her interviews and she closes her eyes a lot while she is singing but she's always done that. Also, she usually makes eye contact with one member of the audience but when she's on TV, I guess she feels like she has to engage with more people and maybe that's why she looks around more.
