I agree that LB's comments about the Clinton event were kind of strange, but you never know with interview quotes what else was said, so I just kind of raised my eyebrows at that.
I do think he catches a rough ride sometimes, though. I read a recent concert review (from Phoenix, I think, of all places) where they said someone had yelled 'Hi, Stevie!' at him from the crowd. LB apparently just kind of sneered and repeated 'Hi, Stevie....' and then said 'No, no, we all love Stevie very much, don't we?'
I mean, that's just a nightmare, dealing with that kind of thing. He's playing these small venues, getting close to the fans, trying to give people a really vivid live experience of his musicianship, and people are so smartass rude. I felt sorry for him and thought he did just about as well as he could with that.
